The stench of human failure

The foul odors, this kingdom to be lost
My being rejected, betrayal upon the cross
I've heard the whispers, turmoil, the panics
They hunt the heretic, crimes too grim to fathom
I've heard the sermons, speeches, the ravings
The blood too tainted, judgement shall draw near
